Fostering Critical Thinking and Entrepreneurial Skills in Young Women for Gender Inclusive Socio-Economic Development

The External Linkages Department, in collaboration with Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA), conducted a 4-day training/workshop from December 20 to 23, 2022 for 53 students of different departments on “Fostering Critical Thinking and Entrepreneurial Skills in Young Women for Gender Inclusive Socio-Economic Development” for capacity building of students. This training session was to inspire students towards entrepreneurship and to develop critical consciousness in young women in universities.

The modules covered in the session were Social Inclusion and Gender, Critical Thinking, Gender Equality, Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, and Entrepreneurship. The students were also given an exposure trip to industry. It was an interactive training session conducted by foreign PhD graduates. For a motivational interjection of turning Passion into Profession, the guest speakers were also invited who are success stories while playing leading roles in their fields as entrepreneurs or in the public and private sector. Next batch of 53 students will also take place followed by establishment of Critical Thinking Circle at University and Idea Design Competition with prize money
