Outcome Based Education (OBE)
Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), Rawalpindi Women University has organized a two-day capacity-building workshop for the faculty of Rawalpindi Women University on 18th -19th October 2022. The title of the session was Outcome Based Education (OBE). Prof. Dr Junaid Ali Khan, Dean Faculty of Basic Sciences, HITEC University, Taxila was invited as a resource person.
During this interactive session, the resource person addressed the notion of OBE, its significance for teaching and learning, and how it could be implemented into daily instruction. Participants engaged in lively discussion throughout the workshop, demonstrating an interest in the assessment methods of CLOs, PLOs, and PEOs, the core components of the OBE system. During the workshop, it was underlined that the OBE system is a successful method for effective teaching and learning, through which classroom problems are discovered and corrective measures are implemented, resulting in an overall improvement in the quality of education.
Prof. Dr. Anila Kamal, Vice Chancellor, Rawalpindi Women University applauded the effort of the Resource Person and all of the participants for their enthusiasm and engagement during the sessions.
Online Training on Online Assessment Tools
January 30 2021 QEC conducted an online training on Online Assessment Tools via ZOOM for the faculty taking FA/FSc classes. The objective was to introduce tools for online quizzes and formative assessments. Two members of QEC Ms. Zakia Khanum Assistant Professor Geography and Ms. Fatima Seerat Assistant Professor English gave comprehensive demo on Quizzes.Com and KAHOOT. 25 participants attended 2 and half hour training sessions and majority of them generated their first subject quiz following instructions of the two trainers. for follow up each member has worked on designing at least 3 online quizzes and take online assessment of their students. The feedback from trainees is highly encouraging. A follow up online activity is being scheduled for the award of certificates and best three demos by the trainees.

Four Online Class Readiness Trainings (ORT 1,2,3& 4) conducted by Dr. Zaheer Ahmad, Faisalabad Medical University, Prof. Dr. Jameel Ahmad Qazi, Seneca College of Applied Arts & Technology, School of International Business & Management Canada, Ms. Anum Zahra Assistant Professor Psychology & Ms. Fatima Seerat Assistant Professor English.
b. Designing Higher Order Thinking-Problem Based Questions, Online Training on Microsoft Team conducted by Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood AIOU on 4th July 2020.
