Dr. Muhammad Zaman Ashraf

Biography:

Dr M.Zaman Ashraf is serving as Professor and Head of Chemistry Department in Rawalpindi women university. He has earned his phD degree from Quaid-i-Azam university Islamabad in 2011. He was also Awarded the prestigious Brain Korea 21 plus (BK-21 Plus) Post-Doctoral Fellowship South Korea, June 09, 2014 to Feb 29, 2016 at Kongju National University, South Korea. Before joining Rawalpindi women university, he served Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad for about 11 years.

Brief statement of Research Interest:

Synthesis and enzyme inhibition assay of Tyrosinase Inhibitors,
Synthesis of Natural Products including Isocoumarines, Dihydroisocoumarines and their bioevaluation.
Synthesis and hydrolysis study of prodrugs of NSAIDs to mask their GI toxicity. Synthesis and Characterization of alkoxy ester/amide based Liquid Crystalline Materials.
