Dr. M. Naveed-Ul-Haq

Biography:

I, Muhammad Naveed-Ul-Haq, completed my PhD in Natural Sciences (Dr. rer. nat.) from University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany in 2018 where I was working in the Institute of Materials Science funded via the DAAD fellowship and was a member of Centre of Nano-Integration Duisburg-Essen (CENIDE). I also completed a postdoctoral term under Prof. Dr. Doru C. Lupascu. I joined the Department of Physics, Comsats Lahore Campus as an Assistant Professor of Physics on HEC-IPFP program in 2019. Later in 2021, I joined National Skills University Islamabad 2019 as an Assistant Professor of Physics before being appointed as an Assistant Professor of Physics at the Rawalpindi Women University in August 2022. Currently, I am serving as the In-Charge of the Physics Department at RWU.
Prior to my PhD Studies in Germany, I received my M. Phil. Physics degree from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad in 2011 where I worked on experimental condensed matter physics with a focus on growth and characterization of thin films. I obtained my M.Sc. degree from University of the Punjab in 2009.
My research has been published various international journals, notably in Scientific Reports, Acta Materialia, Nanoscale, Physica B: Condensed Matter, Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics (PCCP), Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, Applied Physics A, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Journal of Materials Science, Journal of Electronic Materials, Dalton Transactions and several others. I had been a member of German Physical Society (DPG) and German Materials Society (DGM).

Brief statement of Research Interest:

My major area of research is experimental and theoretical condensed matter physics. The focus includes multiferroic materials, ferroelectric materials, magnetoelectric coupling, density functional theory (DFT) studies of highly correlated electron systems with special focus on spin and magnetic features.
