Dr. Irfan Qasim

Biography:

I have been deeply immersed in the realm of materials science, with a focus on the synthesis and characterization of nanostructures, cuprate superconductors, and their composites. I have done Ph.D in Physics and developed expertise in both experimental and computational research. I showcased adaptability and resilience by venturing into simulations and calculations for various solar cell families, particularly concentrating on Perovskite solar cells. This endeavor led to impactful publications in esteemed international scientific journals. Being a pioneer in exploring novel configurations, I achieved remarkable efficiencies in multi-junction tandem solar cells, employing established simulation tools such as AMPS, TCAD, and Silvaco Atlas, Gaussview, and CASTEP. Previously I served at Riphah International University in Islamabad, Pakistan and HITEC University, Taxila Cantt. I have accumulated over fifteen years of research and professional experience. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated proficiency in teaching, internal and external educational activities, and unwavering dedication to my research endeavors.

Brief statement of Research Interest:

I am a seasoned researcher with dual expertise in computational and experimental condensed matter physics. In computational physics, my focus encompasses photovoltaic devices, solar cells, and the application of Density Functional Theory. Complementing this, my experimental work revolves around superconductivity, specifically in nano-superconductor composites. I have successfully synthesized and characterized materials, pushing the boundaries of our understanding. Additionally, I specialize in the applications of nanomaterials, exploring their unique properties for enhanced device performance. My interdisciplinary approach aims to bridge theoretical insights with practical applications
