Dr. Fareeha Ambreen

Biography:

I have done my doctorate degree in Animal Physiology from the Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. I have served as research officer in Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Rawalpindi. I am a trained officer in operation theatre sterility and scrubbing techniques and Quality control of Human Amniotic Membrane Bank. I completed my IPFP from the Department of Biotechnology, International Islamic University Islamabad. I have worked as visiting faculty member in the International Islamic University, Quaid-i-Azam University, Allama Iqbal Open University and University of Central Punjab.

Brief statement of Research Interest:

I have completed my Doctorate in Animal Physiology. The topic of my Doctorate dissertation was “Biochemical Analysis and Genetic Polymorphism of Angiogenic Factors and Inflammatory Markers in Pakistani Patients with Age-Related Macular Degeneration”. I always had a strong aptitude for scientific research in the field of Biology and related Biomedical Sciences. I am keenly interested to continue my research in Gerontology and Ophthalmic Genetics.
