Dr. Ammara Gull E Fareen

Biography:

Dr. Ammara Gull E Fareen did B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. (Hons.) in Entomology from PMAS- Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi. She did her Ph. D Environmental Sciences from the same University with title “Climate change impacts and associated shifting of Ant species in agro-ecological zones of Pothwar”
She worked under National Internship Program during the year 2017-18. During Postgraduate studies, she worked on the taxonomy of ants and their trophic associations with sucking insects specially aphids. During Ph.D. she worked on the modelling of ant’s species, their identification, ecology and distribution mapping.

Brief statement of Research Interest:

Insect species identification, trophic association’s determination, biology of insects, insect ecology and species distribution modeling under the influence of climate change.

Awarded with HEC Indigenous Scholarship during PhD. Got USAID funded merit based scholarship during MSc (Hons). Got HEC merit and need based Scholarship during BSc (Hons)

Have been working for identification of pest species to local community and farmers. Always helped the students for identification of insect species involved in research for Post Graduate and under Graduate students.
