Office of External Linkages

Overview​

External Linkages Department is a newly established department at Rawalpindi Women University. It became operational in May 2022 with the appointment of two officers, Mr. Javed Hassan Awan, Additional Director and Ms. Iraj Munawar Gill, Assistant Director. The team has initiated various tasks in line with the vision of Prof. Dr. Anila Kamal, Vice Chancellor, RWU, with a focus to develop this University in a holistic manner and bring it at par with world’s leading higher learning institutions, through strong network of collaborations.

The Directorate of External Linkages envisions to bridge the gap between the University and the national/international public and private, academic and non-academic organizations by developing linkages through networking and collaborations to uplift university.

The aim of this Department is to strategically manage and seize the opportunities that will enhance the profile and reputation of the University among many different audiences through meaningful relationships and partnerships with key external stakeholders in order to build purposeful relationships nationally and internationally.

Additional Director Message​

The collaborations between all academic/nonacademic, national/international partners help in greatly enhancing the quality of university and gives students an incredible platform to rise. Moreover, active partnerships lead to exciting opportunities for faculty, students and staff and provide an environment for high quality growth.

Our goal is to support the university’s mission to provide a high quality education at the Undergraduate and Post-graduate levels in order to prepare students to meet lifelong intellectual, ethical, social, and career challenges.

Services​

The Directorate of External Linkages targets to pro-actively perform following activities at University:

  • Execution of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with national/international institutes/organizations, for academic and professional uplift of University, students, faculty and administrative personnel.
  • Collaborate/ establish links with institutions for achieving the goals of education, research and development at University.
  • Capacity building of faculty, administration, staff and students through effective training.
  • Ensure a smooth flow in the implementation of academic partnership programs and concerns like faculty exchange, visiting scholars, visiting Professors, internship and student exchange programs, cultural visits, and other educational partnerships.
  • Organize seminars, webinars, conferences, workshops, guest talks and online lectures for opportunities of exposure and experience.
  • Explore new avenues for students/faculty and disseminate the information among them.
