We are proud to announce that Ms. Amber Kazmi, lecturer Department of Physics and her research students who worked in collaboration with ORIC secured 2nd Position at “All Punjab Universities Innovation Expo 2023” organized by the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) in Lahore on November 20, 2023.
Out of 450 research startups from 47 universities across Punjab, our research students showcased their project – the “Heart Rate Monitoring System.” Their innovation, using a pulse fingerprint sensor, not only accurately measures heart rate and plot graph but also outshines market-available devices in precision.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Governor Punjab, Engineer Baligh ur Rehman, who presented a prize of Rs. 50,000/- to the RWU research team. This victory is not just a triumph for Rawalpindi Women University but also a significant stride towards a self-reliant nation through a knowledge-based economy.
This underscores our faculty’s dedication to mentoring our enthusiastic students. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anila Kamal’s exceptional commitment to pioneering research and ground-breaking innovation played a pivotal role. Her comprehensive support fuelled the ambitious project, leading it to success and distinction.
